Announcing the AEGIS-SPARTA collaboration to foster EU-US cooperation in cybersecurity

AEGIS is excited to announce that it will collaborate with SPARTA, a recently launched European Horizon 2020 project, to advance EU-US cooperation in cybersecurity R&I.

This collaboration will connect stakeholders from both projects and further amplify the importance of developing an EU-US understanding of critical topics in order to guarantee top-notch transatlantic cybersecurity. One of AEGIS and SPARTA´s joint initiatives will focus on educating US stakeholders on European cybersecurity initiatives and disseminating recommendations that can help both regions work bilaterally and more effectively on cybersecurity R&I.

SPARTA is one of four EU pilot projects that aim to create a European Cybersecurity Competence Network and contribute to an EU cybersecurity industrial strategy.

The European Commission has invested more than €63.5 million in the pilot projects. The projects support a Commission proposal to establish a European Cybersecurity Industrial, Technology and Research Competence Center, as well as a Network of National Cybersecurity Coordination Centers, in 2021.
