7 - 11 September 2020: MUSA

1) Who are your main users?
The main users of MUSA are Developers and Operators of Cloud applications which use multiple private or public Cloud services at a time (multiCloud applications). The solution addresses DevOps Teams composed of both multiCloud product developers and operators, together with business responsible.

2) What cybersecurity/privacy challenges do your solutions address?
MUSA addresses the whole SecDevOps life-cycle of multiCloud applications and includes identification of security properties (availability, confidentiality, integrity) to keep when all Cloud components are interoperating and assurance at operation. The solution offers security-by-design (security requirements modelling in CAMEL, risk analysis, Security SLA generation, Cloud services selection based on security), multiCloud deployment and continuos security monitoring and self-healing.

3) How do your solutions improve the lives of your users?
MUSA integrates in a single Kanban-style dashboard all the tool set that supports embedding and addressing security issues in Cloud and multiCloud services, from design to operation. This facilitates tracking the security status of each of the components of the application in a single view and keeping up-to-date the risk assessment and security mechanisms operation, and enables the early feedback from Operations team to Developers team so as, whenever cyber security incidents occur or violations of the SLA are about to occur at runtime, the necessary refinements are made in the multiCloud application design, Service Level Agreement (SLA) or Cloud provider selection.
Therefore, MUSA reduces multiCloud applications development time and cost, and facilitates keeping the multiCloud application at runtime under controlled risk, through security assurance at operation based on continuous monitoring of the SLA.
